About the Craft Group

Christine Grundy started the Craft Group soon after moving to Shropshire in 1989 when she joined the WI.  In those days the group met at the F.E. College on the Bromfield Road and since then have had to move to various locations.  There has always been a keen group of members varying from 10 to 18 in number over the years.  Needless to say over this period of time they have covered many different craft projects and enjoyed many very friendly afternoons.

The Craft Group meets on Friday afternoons for ten weeks in the Autumn and for ten weeks in the Spring i.e. September to November and January to March.  Meetings are from 2pm to 4.30pm at the Helena Lane Resource Centre, Hamlet Road, Ludlow.

Members are welcome to bring along their own craft work or participate in any ongoing project within the group.  Unfortunately 'messy/wet' crafts are not possible at this venue.

There are always plenty of ideas, advice and information freely given on craft work within the group and Christine is particularly knowledgable on most craft work.

The group has occasional visiting speakers and workshops, they also visit craft shows and exhibitions when possible.
